How I Work

The approaches I use are fast, effective and empowering. They are evidence-based to bring about changes in the way people think, speak and act.

My background is in mental health and I have spent many years supporting people of all ages with a range of issues.

The way I work is based around evidence-based approaches that I have found to be the most effective ways to help with anxiety, low mood, phobias and trauma. I use these in combination to get the best results for you, based on your particular condition.

Solution Focused Brief Therapy

Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) is a fast-acting therapy that helps people to start living the life they want to live. Rather than focusing on your problems or asking you to examine them, SFBT looks at what you do want, how you’d prefer things to be and what’s already working. It promotes feelings of hopefulness, identifying and building on your strengths, skills and resources to move towards your preferred future. SFBT empowers you as it has, at its heart, the fundamental principle that we are the experts in our own lives and can, therefore, find the solutions to our problems.
