MRT (Multi-Channel Rewind Technique)

What Is MRT?

MRT is a modern therapeutic approach based on the original Rewind Technique, developed for treating PTSD and phobias. This updated version is designed to support the brain in safely processing trauma through multi-sensory engagement—creating emotional distance from the memory while keeping the process gentle, non-intrusive and structured.

MRT works by allowing your brain to “re-file” traumatic memories—moving them from the emotional part of the brain (where they feel raw and reactive) to the logical part (where they feel like a past event rather than something still happening).

During an MRT session, I’ll guide you into a relaxed but alert state. From there, we’ll use a visualisation technique that allows your brain to reprocess the memory safely—without you needing to speak about it in detail. You remain in control at all times, and the session is structured to feel calm and contained.

Many clients report a significant reduction in emotional intensity after just one session, and most notice improvements in sleep, confidence, and emotional regulation shortly after.
